Megan has been part of the dance world for the past 15 years supporting her daughter in dance. Megan has run her own business previously owning and managing Avoca Palms Resort. Megan is also a HR Director with many years of experience and will be running the business side of Up Tempo Dance Studios. Megan has a passion and dedication to create environments for children and teachers where they can grow, play and express themselves where they are safe and surrounded by positive role models.
Megan until recently was also a volunteer on the Board of the Central Coast Meals on Wheels. Megan also loves dance but more for fun and fitness you will see her on a Wednesday night at our Adult Hip Hop and dance fitness class!!!
Kate has been dancing since the age of 3. Kate has trained in all styles including Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Ballet, Hip Hop and gymnastics. Kate has an energy like no other and is dedicated to inspire children to be the best they can be and create a space where everyone has a sense of belonging!! Kate has danced competitively and represented Australia 4 times at the Hip Hop International Competition first at the age of 13. Kate has also performed twice on Australia's Got Talent. Kates enthusiasm will not only engage every person who walks through the door but her kindness and her passion for creating a Dance Studio like no other will be why Up Tempo Dance studios will stand out from the crowd! Kate likes variety and has always had a passion for team sports so Kate has also played cricket representing the central coast, you will see her every Sunday on the soccer field and is also studying to be a paramedic. Dance and creating a space filled with positivity for others to grow has always been her passion.
Talented, passionate and dedicated!. Chelsey's dance career started when she was 3 years old and always had a passion and a natural ability for dance. As Chelsey grew as a dancer she always knew she wanted a future teaching and bringing the joy of dance to the next generation. Chelsey completed a year in full time dance education as well as studying childcare, a great combination for anyone looking to teach dance professionally. Chelsey has represented Australia in international competitions, performed on Australia’s got Talent and nationally competed in many competitions. Chelsey is passionate about the difference dance can make in a child's life and creating an environment where all children can shine in their own way!!
Confident, passionate, and kind, Coco is an 11-year-old dance sensation. Trained in a variety of dance styles, from ballet to musical theatre, she has been performing on stage since she was 3 years old. Coco has won numerous dance competitions, with hip hop being her favourite style. Among her many accolades, she has been named Junior International Champion, National Best Female Dancer, and Future Star Award recipient. Coco has proudly represented Australia on the world stage in the USA and is part of the youngest mini crew in Australian history to qualify for the World Championships. A true triple threat, Coco has also ventured into acting, fulfilling a dream by playing young Moana in a local GMS production.
Kim began her dance training at the age of 7, choreographing and performing on the stage of the Laycock Theatre and dancing at the state level during her school years. She continued to share her passion for dance by teaching dance fitness for over a decade in various gyms, primary schools, and high school groups. A breast cancer warrior, Kim understands the importance of exercise for a healthy body and mind. She loves working as a volunteer dance teacher, bringing the community together through dance. Since 2020, Kim has been a volunteer professional dancer for the Cancer Council's Stars of the Central Coast, winning the People’s Choice Award two years in a row. Outside of dancing, Kim has worked in the courts of NSW and the head office of a major bank. She now works locally in the aged and ability care industry, scheduling in-home care services for those in need. Her work and dance life can be summed up in one phrase: "Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here, we should dance." .
Piper fell in love with dance and fitness in 2020 when he started taking dance fit classes in the gym. Piper has now taken this to a new level with his own sense of style and bringing his two passions of dance and fitness together. Piper is a kind and fun person who is always looking to help you be your best self.
Piper is going to lead a fun, nightclub from the 80's feel for all those people who dont really want to do exercise but want to have fun on the dancefloor and relive their youth!! Everyone welcome! Join him for the best fun you will ever have in a fitness class!!!
We will be offering as part of our Hip Hop Crew Development Progam as well as open classes access to a range of choreographers and styles to keep growing the skills of our dancers and to provide a fun and changing environment for everyone at our dance studio.
