About Uptempo Dance
Uptempo Dance Studios on the Central Coast began as a passion project between mother and daughter — Kate, a lifelong dancer and industry professional, and Megan, a proud dance mum with a heart for supporting young performers.
What started as a shared love for dance quickly grew into something much
more: a studio built on the belief that every dancer deserves to feel seen,
supported, and celebrated.
In 2025, we proudly welcomed Miss Alexa as our Artistic Director. With her
incredible industry experience and warm, nurturing leadership, she now
oversees the day-to-day operations of the studio, bringing creativity, vision,
and care to every part of Uptempo.
Our mission goes beyond great technique. We’re here to help kids grow in
confidence, life skills, and self-belief, all while having fun and feeling part of
something special. We are committed to creating a space where no child is left out, left behind, or left at the back — every dancer matters here.
Our vibrant, inclusive studio offers a wide range of classes designed to inspire creativity, build friendships, and develop strong, confident dancers. More than just a dance school, Uptempo is a community and a second home for so many families. We’re proud of the supportive, uplifting environment we’ve created, and we can’t wait to welcome you into it!!

Welcome to Lil Groovers, an exceptional pre-school dance program offered exclusively at our studio, meticulously designed for young dancers aged 2 to 6 years. This unique program serves as a gateway to a world where rhythm, movement, and imagination seamlessly blend to create an unforgettable dance experience for your little ones.

Our Groovsters program are for our Kindy to Year 2 children who want to learn more about dance but still want to have a class full of energy and fun. We run Ballet/Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop and Cheer for this age group which will keep them coming back week after week!!
Year 3 - Year 6 Classes - JUNIOR

Year 7 - Year 12 - SENIOR
Our junior program for those children in Year 3 - Year 6 will provide a fun and nurturing environment for dancers of all levels. We provide classes in Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and cheer which will provide them the stepping stone to more advanced choreography while having fun.

Our Senior Classed for 13+ is for both our advanced dancers who want to challenge themselves across different styles and those students who want to come for fun, fitness and friendship. We have contemporary, Jazz and Hip Hop. These classes will never disappoint!!

Come and have fun with our Adult Hip Hop and Adult Dance Fit classes. If you want to learn hip hop or if you want to pretend you are on an 80's Dancefloor we have the class for you where you can dance, exercise and create new and amazing friendships!!

Our teachers are trained in how to teach and support people of all ages with disabilities and are proud to run the Perform Ability program, which has a proven success record of over 15 years. This program is designed to be inclusive and impactful, with therapy-aligned movement strategies backed by occupational therapists and social skills development guided by speech therapists.
